I have known Daron since our early days at the Tustin Police Department working as Patrol Officers in the late 1980s. He and I have dealt with a variety of situations and I have always found him to be a man of honor, integrity, and honesty. He is one of the hardest-working Detectives I have ever had the pleasure of working with as an Orange County District Attorney Investigator from the late 1990s until my retirement in 2016. Daron will be a tremendous asset to your county as its sheriff. My only regret is that I am unable to move to Albany County and join his team as it would be an honor to work side by side with him again, as it was a pleasure working with him on some of the most challenging and difficult cases, and I would love to do it again... Daron will serve you well, and I know that he will continue to honor our chosen profession. His commitment to excellence and dedication to seeking justice for crime victims are among his greatest virtues. I can say with 100% certainty that the people of Albany will be well served with Daron as its Sheriff.
